Johann Sebastian Bach: Caprice On the Death of a Beloved Brother Played By Rémi Géniet
A brotherly tribute
Johann Sebastian Bach is one of the few composers who can be said to have made a pivotal impact on musical history. His work in the Baroque period was era-defining and set trends from which many other musicians followed. This work, understandably, is a sombre and very selective work for solo piano. While the emotion is visible, the tribute to Bach’s beloved brother is also a salute, with confident and happier passages, too.
