Giovanni Benedetto Platti: Concerto Grosso No. 10 In F Major, With Capella Gabetta Conducted By Andrés Gabetta
A string success
Giovanni Benedetto Platti was alive at the crucial time when the fortepiano was invented. Realising its brilliance, Platti was never without one when composing. Platti was also one of the main inspirations to Elgar who cited Platti's complete command of the strings as something to be marvelled. Indeed, the sweeping string melody is a wonderful and cause for thought. Can you hear the Elgar-like melodies?
