François Jeanneau: Jazz Lacrymogène By The Orchestre National de Jazz
A sublime piece of jazz played by the ONJ in 1986.
For jazz connaisseurs, the work Jazz Lacrymogène has certainly become classics of the ONJ 86 repertoire. Played at almost at every concert, this track was composed by François Jeanneau, first director of the ONJ, in May 1968. But the story behind the scenes is that he lost it in his notebook until he took office in 1986, when he exhumed this piece to build the magistral repertoire of the ONJ as we know it today.
