Federico Mompou: Impresiones Intimas No. 3 By Guillaume Coppola
Patterns in perpetuity
Best known for his solo piano music, Mompou trained under Gabriel Fauré who presided over the Conservatoire de Paris during his formation there. The score for this work looks like it was supposed to be a work of visual art rather than a musical script. The patterns of the notes, when played, sound equally pretty despite the pace at which they are performed.
