Antonio Vivaldi: Nulla In Mundo Pax Sincera RV 630 By L’Entretien des Muses and Claire Lefilliâtre
An archetypal work of the Italian composer
Another key figure in the Baroque movement, Antonio Vivaldi was born in Venice on 4th March 1678 and demonstrated musical talent from a young age. While Vivaldi is widely admired as a pre-eminent composer, the Italian maestro was also a dab hand at the violin. Vivaldi loved to use the violins to play passages that others might score for the harpsichord. This piece is no exception, with the strings pivoting on two notes as if one were continually striking the harpsichord.
