The Théâtre des Champs-Elysées brings together some of the world’s foremost orchestral soloists to perform a number of Classical-era works by Mahler, Mozart and Berg. From the world-famous Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, we hear Rainer Honeck, Christoph Koncz, Peter Somodari, Raphael Flieder and Christoph Wimmer performing Mozart’s Quintet in E-Flat Minor. We are then joined by Yeree Suh who performs a stunning rendition of Alban Berg’s Seven Early Songs, and then his Four Songs. Finally, the performance closes with Richard Strauss’s Metamorphoses. This is an excellent opportunity to see these star performers away from their orchestral tours and to witness them perform a program which they helped create. Appreciate the poetic wonder of this special performance.
