Here, The Passion As Told by Brockes by Telemann — more commonly known as Brockes-Passion — is performed at the Philharmonie de Paris. Conductor Raphaël Pichon leads the Pygmalion Ensemble in the Pierre Boulez Great Hall on April 2017.

Despite the many musical interpretations of Brockes' poem, Raphael Pichon chose Georg Philipp Telemann's version due to its historical significance. "The sacred opera" begins with the Last Supper and ends after the death of Jesus. The literal rebirth of this oratorio is masterfully done by the Pygmalion Ensemble. Whether religious or secular, the listener can only be moved by this glorious work.
