Young professionals playing old scores

Auditorium, Musée du Louvre, Paris

This concert given on the 28th of April in the Auditorium of the Musée du Louvre brings together some of the most impressive young performers of the day. With tricky scores on the music stands, these youthful performers break no sweat in tackling the musical mazes the composers have laid before them. The concert begins with a work by Ludwig van Beethoven: the Sonata for Cello and Piano No. 5 in D Major, played by Aurélien Pascal on cello. Afterwards, we hear Bruno Philippe, another cellist perform Franz Schubert’s “Arpeggione Sonata”. Finally, we receive a masterclass in accompaniment by Walter Delahunt on piano, who performs the Suite for 2 Cellos and Piano by Gian Carlo Menotti. Sit back and watch some of music’s finest young talent take to the stage and amaze you with their skill and professionalism.
